Student Nondiscrimination Policy

TLS does not discriminate against individuals with disabilities who attend our classes. TLS provides such individuals all assistance required by applicable laws and regulations. For information on available accommodations, or if you believe you may need assistance to participate in a class, please contact Customer Service by phone at 301-352-8750 or by email at info@totalearn.com.

Student Conduct

Students attending TLS courses are expected to act in a professional manner to other students, Instructors, and TLS staff while attending a course. This includes ensuring that you do not improperly use or present as your own someone else’s words, thoughts, or data in a class assignment and that you do not engage in activity which provides you an unfair or improper advantage in completing a course’s requirements. Failure to abide by this policy may result in your dismissal from a course.

Intellectual Property

By registering for or otherwise ordering a TLS course or training service, you agree and acknowledge that TLS training materials are protected by U.S. and international copyright laws. Therefore, you cannot reproduce, distribute, create derivative works of, or publicly display/perform such materials. In addition, you agree not to use the company's training materials, including but not limited to the concepts and ideas expressed in the training, to create a competing product/service.

Employee Sponsored Training

TLS offers and delivers only employer-sponsored training (i.e., business-to-business training). Any agreement for the delivery of training and training services is between TLS and the employer organization that has sponsored the training of the individual who will attend the delivery of a company course.

Class Backup Procedures

A primary and secondary instructor will be assigned to each scheduled class. The secondary instructor will be available and prepared to facilitate courses whenever necessary. This backup procedure will remain in effect until the actual commencement of the course. All instructors are required to provide adequate notice regarding any situations that may result in tardiness or absence as related to an assigned course. TLS will in-turn immediately notify the customer of any necessary adjustments.

Canceling Classes

The customer may cancel a class without penalty by providing TLS with at least ten (10) business days’ notice prior to the start date of the class. If the customer cancels a class in less than ten (10) business days, but more than five (5) business days prior to the start date, there will be a 25% cancellation fee. If the customer cancels a class without a minimum of five (5) business days’ notice prior to the start date of the class, there will be a 35% cancellation fee. Failure to cancel before the instructor arrives will result in a 100% cancellation fee. Any unrecoverable costs incurred by TLS will be billed in full regardless of the cancellation date.
